Monkey see monkey do

Hello hello to everyone! We have been so busy around here we haven't much time to post to the blog. Everyone is doing well, Reece has been promoted to Manager of Arvest Bank in Nixa, and we have both been trying to keep up with Pierce rolling around the house. Pierce has 2 teeth now, bottom front ones, that he loves to show off when he giggles. He has yet to master crawling, but gets around by rolling everywhere. Lately he has learned while sitting up, he can use his feet to scoot backwards. His favorite time of day is still bath time, where he now sits up and splashes water everywhere and thinks it is funny.
We have finally updated both cars with new car seats..this was a big step that has taken longer than should have. Reece and I are so jealous of Pierce's luxury car seat, Pierce looked so comfy in his "my ride 65" we contemplated letting him sleep in it the first night.
The Blackwell Halloween party was a success, Pierce showed off his monkey costume, and cousin Deacon joined us and dressed as a Pirate. Pierce and Deacon played together all last weekend, they are now buddies. Deacon, 2yrs old, can not understand why Pierce doesn't walk and so he tries to pick Pierce up.
That is all for now, we love you all!!

HAPPY FALL TO ALL!!

Fall is finally here, and Pierce is loving the extra decorations around the house to play with. So far we have only lost one little porcelain pumpkin. Little Pierce is now saying his first word...DRUMROLL PLEASE... It was "MAMAMA." Reece is trying so hard to get Pierce to say Daddy but he is having no such luck when MAMAMA is being screamed all the time now. Since we last posted to the blog, we took our first family road trip..a long 8 hours in the car. Suprisingly Pierce did very well and slept most of the 8 hour trip to Grapevine, Texas. We had to take the "Bird" with us. She is our lifesaver and is still watching Pierce for us; she is Pierce's Great Grandma. Reece gave all of us the grand ole tour of Grapevine and we were in town for his 10 year High School reunion. We all had a great time and Pierce and I hinted to Reece we would enjoy living there one day. We are all looking forward to our first Halloween costume party at Aunt Renee's house and we will have the camera ready for some "ghoul" pictures.

They says it's your Birthday..It's my Birthday too!

Pierce celebrated his half Birthday this past week! He is now officially 6-months old! It is so hard to believe that he is already so big, it seems like last week that we were making the trip to the hospital for the BIG ultrasound. My how time has passed by so quickly. Mr Birthday boy celebrated his big day with a chocolate covered strawberry and got a new car seat and plush blocks that make lots of noise!!

UPDATES:
Pierce is still a little wobbly when he tries to sit up. His bottom teeth are almost visible, he has not been a happy camper lately and nothing seems to ease his teething pain. Pierce is very active and babbles constantly. Lately our biggest hurdle has been getting Pierce to take naps during the day, he sleeps about 11 hours at night but refuses to nap during the day.

What happens when Mommy is sleeping...

Hello everyone! Thank you for all of your comments. We have been busy these past couple of weekends. We finally have up all of our Fall and Halloween decorations in the house and Pierce of course has matching seasonal clothing that he loves wearing!! We finally bought a high chair this weekend and boy was Pierce excited. Now he can sit at the table and eat with us and has a new play area for his toys. So as I was napping today I couldn't help but hear a commotion in the living room, Pierce and Reece were watching the Cowboys game, and Reece was in charge of the baby...as you can see in these pictures, Reece was a little preoccupied with the game and lunch time was a little messy!!! Oh Reece! Updates with Pierce, he now sits in his high chair, still a little wobbly and can't hold himself up but we are working on that. Poor little guy tries so hard to crawl, he has mastered what his legs are suppose to do but cannot figure out how his arms are suppose to help and raise his upper body. He is constantly rolling over and loves jumping up and down in his "entertainment center" we call it. We are also trying to master holding on to a cup and he got a new green cup this weekend with handles, he loves chewing on it and throwing it across the room. Pierce also has a "johnny jumper" that he swings in rather than jumps, he also does a little dance with his feet and it sounds like he is tap dancing..it is hilarious! He is such a growing boy!!

Pierce is 5 Months old now....

Pierce has hit a few milestone since the last blog! He is now able to roll over, grasp on to everything including hair..ouch, suck on his little toes and stands with a little help. He is always smiling and now has the cutest little giggle. He discovered he could cough and stick out his tongue. Pierce's latest obsessions are looking at himself in the mirror, splashing water in the bath, and watching tv. Pierce is fascinated with everything outside and loves swinging on the porch with his Great Grandma. There is not a vegetable that Pierce doesn't like, he loves eating and it shows....he now weighs 17 pounds!!! Pierce is very excited for fall and is trying to decide what he wants to be for Halloween........

Tarwater Family Road Trip.....

The car was loaded, gas tank full, and the first Tarwater Family Vacation was underway. It was a last minute surprise, and only Reece knew where we were going...Rogers, Ark. Pierce loved our hotel, his favorite was the big bath tub that he soaked in and the chocolate covered strawberries he wished he could have ate. Saturday morning, we took Pierce to breakfast in the lobby and he was fascinated with the water fountains and the elevators!! We all had the best time on our first mini vacation, now we are ready to go to the beach!!

First Solid Foods

Pierce was first introduced to solid foods by his Great Granny. Pierce has loved every vegetable we have given him especially peas and carrots. He has also mastered rolling over and is still sleeping through the night, about 9 hours at a time! YAY! Pierce is now 4 1/2 months old and is outgrowing all of his clothes!! We go to the Doctor at the end of the month for his next checkup and shots!
